Team News
I added some code to make the team stats never consider certain players a "sub". I'm calling it the "all time players list". Currently, LaRue, me, and Malloy are the only people I put on it. I should probably put Dave and maybe Matt on it too.
Anyway, this list is hardcoded, which means only I can edit it. I'm thinking I should probably make the list configurable by the site managers. I'll get to that this winter. In the mean time, at least the code is there. If I missed a report, let me know. And Matt, if yer reading this, do you ever plan on entering the last few months worth of games? --Bill #1
hey guys, fall season starts the week of August 9th (or on thursday august 12th, if you're that lazy....) we'll be giving calls to let everyone know what's going on shortly, but I will be reacheable in california as of next monday (august 3rd) I'll probably program everyone into my phone and call around anyway. the new stats are up, check em out!
The second week of the tourney is next thursday. We play Jeager Bombed in game 1 at 6:10 on diamond 2 at weigand, then if we win that, we play the winner of fat chance and ram's at 7:45. It'll probably end up being rams, but in either case we're not seeing anyone we shouldn't be beating.

Hey guys, I know I've called everyone, so just to put it in writing, the tourney starts tonight at weigand. We play fat chance at 7:30 and if we win that game we get to settle our old score against Bomb Squad at 9:00. Let's bring our A game, boys!
Excellent finish to the season, guys, we've really made some HUGE steps over years past.
Ok guys, We have the Rainouts Rescheduled for july 1st and july 8th. ANYONE WHO CAN'T MAKE IT TO GAMES PLEASE AT LEAST CALL ME. My number is 586-709-7762. We played great last night, especially for playing with nine guys. The game times are on the schedule for the makeups. Also, as with seasons past, the tourney will be held on tuesdays and thursdays, starting tuesday july 13th. We've never had to come back for the second dates, but I think we stand a strong chance this year. We are fourth in the standings (out of 9) so we should have some decent games before we have to go up against the really tough teams.

The Java-based scoresheet page has been fixed, hopefully. Depending the age of your computer, and/or the O.S. installed on it, you may have been unable to view scoresheets.
Now when you load the page, if your Java Runtime is too old, you will be prompted to download and install an update. I recommend you do so. If you're on a dialup connection, it may take a while. Broadband connections will take 3-4 minutes. Please let me know if you have any problems. Thanks. --Bill
I just called the Rain out info number a few minutes ago, and all games for today have been "postponed".
Enjoy the Pistons game tonight, and hopefully by next week's games the Pistons will have finished the Lakers off. --Bill

p.m. Update
I've updated the site a bit. The Hotlinks display the current 2004 season now, as do various links to the news pages. I've also updated the archives page. There was a problem with some historical data in the scoresheets file that was causing some past player performances to not be attributable to any player (if that makes sense)...fixed that too. Now we actually know that not only does the season start this thursday (april 29th) but that we're playing at 8:30 and 9:45 at Halmich diamond number 5. please get in contact if you can not show up, and please show up early so we can get player contracts and contact info out of the way. --matt
hey guys it's me again. I just got word that our season will start April 29th, I'm assuming at Halmich park. No info on schedules yet, but i'll input it as soon as i get it. City of warren is having a one ball tournament on the saturday preceding the start of the season but we think we'll hold a practice in lieu of that because the nature of the tournament breeds bad batting habits. more details to follow....
